And there may be no better place to do so than Pocahontas State Park. Just 30 minutes from Richmond, this spectacular state park offers some of the most amazing fall foliage in the region, along with a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Spanning nearly 8,000 acres, Pocahontas State Park is Virginia's largest state park. It was first opened in 1946 and was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the hills and valleys surrounding Swift Creek.
