• At this time, our offices in the Greater Richmond area are open for business and ready to serve our clients within the CDC's recommended 10-person limit in shared spaces.
• We are happy to make accommodations for your comfort level during this time and can offer many services virtually, such as Buyer Consultations done through video chat and tours of potential houses.

Open Houses

• We are encouraging agents to show homes by appointment only.
• If an agent and seller make a decision to hold an open house, it must be in alignment with the 10-person limit in a social space, practicing social distancing.
• We are encouraging agents to provide alcohol-based hand sanitizers in the entryway and soap and disposable towels in bathrooms and to consider asking open house visitors to disinfect their hands upon entering the home.

Luckily, there are a few easy ways to tell if your neighborhood is safe. While you're checking out Richmond homes for sale, take these extra steps before making an offer. 1. Do Some Online Research
   There are several great websites where you can research your potential new neighborhood for free. Some of the most popular include Area Vibes, Neighborhood Scout, and SpotCrime. These sites provide neighborhood-specific information including crime statistics, police reports, and a number of other livability factors.
   
   Also visit the U.S. Government's National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW), which allows you to enter an address and see photos of registered sex offenders living nearby.

2. Talk to Your REALTOR®

   As you check out the neighborhood, look for signs of a safe community. Children playing outside and people riding bikes or walking their dogs are indications that the current residents feel comfortable there.
   
   A neighborhood watch program shows that the residents are concerned with keeping their neighborhood safe, and events like block parties and farmer's markets help to create a strong sense of community.

6. Connect with Your Potential New Neighbors
   While you're exploring the area, stop and talk to any neighbors you see. Ask them what they like about living there and if there are any concerns. Not only can this help you evaluate the safety of an area, it can also help you decide if the neighborhood will fit with your lifestyle.
