Halloween Events

Who's ready for Halloween? Our real estate agents certainly are, and as we get into the spooky spirit of the season, we're excited to share some of the most exciting upcoming Richmond Halloween events.

From pumpkin patches to haunted houses, you'll find no shortage of things to do in Richmond for Halloween. Be sure to mark your calendars for these Halloween parties, festivals and attractions!

  • Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival - 2401 W Leigh St Suite 110, Richmond, VA 23220
Easily one of the biggest and most hotly anticipated events of the fall season in Richmond, the Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival returns this year on October 16. Featuring carnival games and activities, live bands, a Halloween costume contest and tons of great local food and drink vendors, this is one festival you won't want to miss this month. The Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival takes place at Midtown Green (formerly known as the Bon Secours Training Center) just minutes from many Richmond homes for sale

  • Halloween UnHappy Hour at the Poe Museum - 1914 E Main St, Richmond, VA 23223
There's never a bad time to visit the Edgar Allen Poe Museum, a historic site in Shockoe Bottom that commemorates the celebrated author's years in Richmond. But it's especially appropriate around Halloween. In addition to touring the museum, which is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday every week, you might also want to mark your calendar for Halloween UnHappy Hour at the Poe Museum. This spooky, Poe-themed event will feature excellent food and drink, along with live music courtesy of The Embalmers from 6-9 p.m. on October 24.

  • Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics - 211 E Franklin St, Richmond, VA 23219
Part of the acclaimed Candlelight Concerts series, Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics promises to be a unique and entrancing experience for music fans this Halloween. Attendees will experience a variety of Halloween-inspired music performed by live musicians in a beautiful candlelit space. Performances are scheduled for Tuesday, October 24 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. They will be held at the historic Bolling Haxall House, a clubhouse and venue in the Monroe Ward District that was built in 1858.

  • Eerie Canal Cruise - 139 Virginia St, Richmond, VA 23219
Boat tours on the historic Kanawha Canal in Richmond are available year-round, but they take on a ghostly vibe around Halloween. For three nights only on October 25-27, the tours will transform into Eerie Canal Cruises, guiding guests through a frightening tour of the canal's course through the notoriously haunted Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. These 20-minute tours will depart every half hour from the docks at the Turning Basin from 5-9 p.m.

  • Creepy Hollow Scream Park - 14437 Stone Horse Creek Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059
The longest-running haunted attraction in the Richmond area, Creepy Hollow Scream Park has been providing thrills and frights since 2005. In the tradition of a classic haunted house, the park features live actors and animatronic monsters that will satisfy any visitor's desire to be scared senseless. But unlike a haunted house, this park is entirely outdoors, and you'll have to find your way down a dimly lit wooded path populated by all manner of frights. Creepy Hollow Scream Park is located just a few minutes outside of Richmond and a stone's throw from these Glen Allen homes for sale
