Concerts in Richmond

Fall is in the air here in Richmond, but that doesn't mean summer fun is over. For fans of live music, the best season of all has arguably just begun. These are some of the upcoming concerts, festivals and other music events our real estate agents are most looking forward to in September!

  • Virginia Credit Union LIVE! - 900 East Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23222
    Virginia Credit Union LIVE!
    presents an exciting lineup of live performances in September, offering a range of genres for music lovers in the Richmond area. Hosted at the Virginia Credit Union Live! at Richmond Raceway, the venue will feature both emerging and well-established artists. This month's concerts include acts like Megadeath, Peter Frampton and Nothing More. Be on the lookout for more exciting events in the upcoming months as well!
  • Sunday Jazzy Brunch @ The Savory Grain - 2043 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220
    In addition to serving up tasty farm-to-table fare and craft cocktails, the Savory Grain is also a perfect place to check out some weekly live jazz music. This cozy cafe in the Fan District hosts Sunday Jazzy Brunch from 11 am to 3 pm each week, featuring Roger Carroll's Jazz Brunch Duo. The cafe also hosts weekly Late Night Sessions with local blues artists every Friday at 9:30 pm. 

  • Fridays at the Pavilion @ James River Cellars - 11008 Washington Hwy, Glen Allen, VA 23059
    Every Friday through the end of September, James River Cellars hosts live bands for its weekly Fridays at the Pavilion series. The series is always open to the general public free of charge. In addition to great local bands, there will be food trucks at each concert, plus ample opportunity to sample James River Cellars' outstanding wines. Music takes place from 6 to 9 pm. James River Cellars is located in Glen Allen, just a few minutes outside Richmond and a stone's throw from these Glen Allen homes for sale

  • Iron Blossom Festival - W Leigh St, Richmond, VA 23221
    A food fest as well as a music fest, the annual Iron Blossom Festival returns this year to Bon Secours Park, just north of Richmond's Museum District. This two-day event on September 21-22 includes a great lineup of bands and artists that mostly represent American roots music, including Trampled by Turtles, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Caamp, Mt. Joy and the Turnpike Troubadours. There will also be a variety of local food trucks and vendors, as well as beer tents highlighting Richmond craft brewers. 

  • Groovin' in the Garden - 1800 Lakeside Ave, Henrico, VA 23228
    After a decade-long absence, the Groovin' in the Garden concert series has returned to the Ginter Lewis Botanical Garden this year. Mark your calendars for September 24, when indie-rock institution Guster takes the garden's open-air stage. This is a truly stunning outdoor music venue minutes from these Henrico homes for sale

  • Richmond Folk Festival - Richmond, VA 23219
    The beloved Richmond Folk Festival will return to celebrate its 20th anniversary on September 27-29. Over the course of three days, this massive festival takes over a large portion of Downtown Richmond, stretching from 2nd Street to 7th Street and from Byrd Street to the James River. This year's lineup includes a wide range of performers that span global folk music.
