Summer is the most popular time of year to buy or sell a home. As we reach the peak of this year's real estate market, it's a good idea to take some time to think about how you can stage your home for the season.

Home staging is a highly effective sales tactic that can help your listing garner online attention and land a higher sale price. It's the process of "staging" your home with neutral decor, art and furniture in order to attract as many buyers as possible. Staging your home is both an art and a science, and our real estate agents are here with some tips to help you set up your home for the summer market.

Let The Light In
Imagine walking into a dark, dreary home on a bright summer day. Sounds pretty unappealing, right? Home shoppers are looking for bright homes with tons of natural light during the day and bright interior lighting schemes during the evening. Light also makes rooms appear larger, so you can really use it to your benefit. Make sure all your blinds and window treatments are open. Maintaining the right temperature is very important in the summer as you don't want shoppers to feel uncomfortable when touring your home. Keeping things neutral is one of the most important rules of home staging. The goal is to allow the buyer to envision themselves living in the space.
