Held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center October 13-15, this fun-filled Halloween extravaganza features a little bit of everything. A popular event for families that grows larger every year, RCSO Trunk or Treat provides a safe, family-friendly environment for trick-or-treating and Halloween fun. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office hosts the event, with decorations, costumes and free candy for the kids on October 31, from 6:00-8:00 PM. This is a free event for the community, and volunteers are always needed to help with the festivities. -
Better2gether Halloween Hustle 5K – 12500 West Creek Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23238
Looking for some healthy fun to mix in with all of those Halloween celebrations? The Better2gether Halloween Hustle 5K is an event for all ages, with a chip-timed 5K run/walk for adults, a virtual run/walk, and the Kids Hocus Pocus Run for children 12 and under. The runs are accompanied by a race festival, which includes fun, games, treats, costume contests, and spooky surprises for all ages. The fun starts with the first run at 8:00 AM on October 28, with the awards, costume contest, and festival to follow at 10:00 AM. -
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics – 528 N. 2nd Street, Richmond, 23219
The Candlelight concert series is a unique, multi-sensory experience that you can enjoy at the Hippodrome Theater, and Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics offers a spectacular spin on your favorite Halloween tunes through an exciting live performance from the Listeso String Quarter. The song program for the evening features everything from Thriller to Ghostbusters, with some classic orchestral music mixed in for good measure. There are two shows to choose from on October 24, starting at 6:30 and 9:00 PM. -
Belmont Halloween Party for Toddlers & PreK – 3100 Ellwood Ave., Richmond, VA 23221
Of course, the youngest members of the family have plenty to look forward to for Halloween in Richmond, as well! The Belmont Halloween Party for Toddlers & PreK will be hosted at the Belmont Branch of the Richmond Public Library for kids ages 2-5 on October 27, starting at 10:30 AM. The event features games, costumes, music and dance, along with a craft for the kids to build and take home.
