Take a Look at RVA in a new light!

Richmond at Dusk
It's easy to forget about Richmond's many museums, historic sites and attractions when you're scrambling to keep up with the day-to-day. But why not take a break and explore the city as a tourist would?

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed many of us indoors for extended periods of time, but the good news is we live in a beautiful city with lots to see all from the comfort of our own vehicles! If you can do so in a safe way, many of these destinations offer a great opportunity to get out and stretch your legs while taking in the views.

We've outlined a few traditional sites to enjoy, plus a few you may not have experienced yet!

Top 10 things to do on your day trip:
    1. Have a picnic lunch at Maymont Park
    2. Grab your bike and head for the Capital trail
    3. Take a walk in the Fan or Church Hill and point out your favorite homes
    4. Use a mural map and bike the city taking pictures of your favorite murals along the way.
    5. Search for a secluded spot with a little privacy and just breathe the fresh air, or spend some time meditating
    6. Be your own tour guide as you cruise through Hollywood Cemetery
    7. Pick a classic Richmond restaurant for takeout like Shagbark, Stellas, or Gelati Celesti
    8. Catch a sunrise by the Nickel Bridge or on the James River and capture that quintessential Richmond photo
    9. Sketch the city from the vantage point of the Virginia War Memorial
    10. Finally, grab a local growler to-go and toast your favorite town

Wherever you decide to go, there's no need to leave town to take a vacation — there's plenty to discover right here in RVA.
